About Me

Anxiety UK logo

I am married and have two children. I currently live in Hertfordshire

and have set up my private practice alongside my other work as

a volunteer with Home Start Herts and working with Anxiety UK.

I have worked in the field of mental well-being for over 20 years

in a variety of settings such as charities, local authority and the NHS.

My main roles were supportive, person- centred and advisory using

my counselling skills training. During this time I gained a Masters

in the Psychodynamics of Human Development, a Post Graduate

Diploma in CBT and an APT level 2 certificate in Compassion

Focused Therapy. I have also personally experienced overwhelming

anxiety which got in the way of socialising at a young age,

being the parent I wanted to be, and managing stress in the

work place.

This knowledge and experience has led me to specialise in CBT with

adults, which is goal directive using evidence based strategies.

Sessions are available online or in-person in Wheathampstead, Hatfield or Hertford.

I am an accredited member of the BABCP and also an approved therapist working for Anxiety Uk providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. I am subject to the BABCP and Anxiety UK’s regular monitoring of my professional qualifications, supervision, continual professional development, insurance and professional body membership in addition to complying with the ethical framework and professional standards set down by the governing body.

I am fully insured and have a DBS.
